About - Your Partner in Learning Success

When I was a kid, my mom “made” me and my brother write down our daily activities in diaries. We weren’t allowed to go to bed unless we had written at least three sentences, and she would double-check every sentence for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I’m sure I hated it sometimes, but I’ve calculated that I produced about 2,500 journal entries from age 6 - 13. This is where my writing path started - that experience gave me the confidence to express myself in writing and analyse a range of fiction and non-fiction. It served me well through high school, two university arts degrees, technical writing for industry, and course development at three universities. (thanks, Mom.)

I provide personalized English tutoring for Grade 8–12 and university students in Kamloops and online. I am a University Instructor in Communications and Visual Arts at TRU with 9 years of teaching experience, helping students build stronger writing, reading, and critical thinking skills.
